Bothell firm awarded flu study grant (Everett Herald)
Nastech Pharmaceutical Co. has received a research grant from the National Institutes of Health's allergy and infectious diseases division. The award will be used to advance the Bothell company's small-interfering RNA technology to prevent and treat influenza. Nastech is experimenting to see if RNA interference can be used to turn off proteins critical to the flu virus' expansion in the body. The
